Construction Coordinator

As Construction Coordinator, you will contribute to our team by:

  • Assisting the Site Superintendent in planning, coordinating and supervising construction activities
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for construction projects by implementing the Company’s OH&S management system
  • Establish, monitor and update construction schedules
  • Coordinate proper procurement of construction materials ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of purchase orders
  • Arrange and conduct construction field services as required
  • Maintain a diary for each project daily
  • Employees may also be assigned other work as required

  • Knowledge of strong safety culture and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office, excel, MS Project
  • Excellent organizational skills and written communication is a must
  • Knowledge of and experience in the construction industry and company operations, including materials, construction specifications, and procedures

Experience and certificates required:

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in construction coordination
  • G2 license is required
  • Health & Safety – Basics of Supervision IHSA is an asset
  • Certification of First Aid/CPR (certificate), WHMIS is an asset
  • General understanding of construction industry practices, OBC, OHSA and WCB regulations and safety standards
